1983
1983... One year into college. Sweet freedom. Life was gooooood. There's nothing quite like those first few years of independence before responsibilities started piling up.
You can probably tell from the playlist below that I was rather obsessed with smooth-voiced British crooners that year. I thought this kind of music would get me the girls. Ha! That didn't quite work out, but the music was memorable. Here's some of the best from 1983:
- Nick Heyward - "On A Sunday"
- Culture Club - "Karma Chameleon"
- XTC - "Wonderland"
- JoBoxers - "Just Got Lucky"
- Roman Holliday - "Stand By"
- Roman Holliday - "Motor Mania"
- Style Council - "It Just Came To Pieces"
- Kissing The Pink - "Maybe This Day"
- Heaven 17 - "Let Me Go"
- The Bluebells - "Sugar Bridge"
- Fun Boy Three - "The Things We Do"
- Elvis Costello - "Charm School"
- Madness - "The Sun and The Rain"
- Thompson Twins - "If You Were Here"
